All Ours

Cedric Walker is working hard to finish his 35th year at Tulane University in New Orleans, so that he and Julie can spend most of the summer on All Ours, starting at her home port of Myrtle Beach and heading North on the ICW this year.

Water Dog

Jean and Andy are in St. Louis. With our 15 month old Newfoundland boy,
Box of Rain (Boxer) we are injoying the Winter activity of Dog Shows. Two weeks ago Boxer was awarded “Best of Winners” at a major show. We
were quite excited- his second show. Also waiting to get up to Seattle.

Tapestry is high and dry right now getting bottom paint and awaiting launching which we are hoping will happen about the first week in April. We are hoping for another great spring/summer/fall cruising season which will prove to be a full one as we have the annual RI Air National Guard Air Show (Blue Angels this year) which we always take a group to. This year in Rhode Island we also have the America’s Cup Trials (June 23 – July 1) followed by the Tall Ships(July 6 – 9).  Narragansett Bay provides great cruising for short trips. We typically get out in the evening for a cruise into Providence or just a sunset cruise. Weekends find us cruising further or just hanging out behind some local island for a weekend of swimming and cooking. If anyone is coming North this year be sure to give is a shout and we would be eager to make some cruising plans.
I have attached a photo of Tapestry in Hadley Harbor, a favorite spot near Woods Hole in Massachusetts.

Sea Glass

Sea Glass is currently at Village Cay Marina in Road Town Tortola, we are entertaining our eldest son, Michael, his wife Helen anda our Grandson Michael. They’ll be here for 2 weeks as we cruise arond the islands. Including Peter Island, Cooper Island, Saba Rock, Jost Van Dyke. After they leave, our younger son Robert will come down with his wife for his vacation and more cruising, we’d like to visit Anguilla on that trip.
After that, we’ll leave Sea Glass here for the hurricane season and go to NY for the gardening season and a 3 week visit to Paris and Tuscany.
October will see us back on board and hopefully back on plan and some longer range cruising.
I might add, that thus far none of our plans have worked out as planned, but we continue to be optimistic.

Best wishes for happy sailing to all,
Michael and Elsie K

We will be heading to Bahamas in May then back to Ft.  Lauderdale for some time on the hard during hurricane season after which we intend to cruise around the southern tip of FL to west coast then up to Mobile Bay for a long trip up the river to Nashville
